Game Recap

The Bears beat the Warriors 45-14 Thursday night. After a rough offense start, the Bears scored on the final 5 possessions of the first half. Lead by Jahmyl Jeter’s 4 TDs, the Bears built a 35-14 halftime lead. The game was tied up at 14 a piece, but the Brennan offense scored the last 31 points of the game. Interceptions by Javon Hopkins, and Donovan Williamson helped keep the Warriors scoreless in the second half. Alexander Wise caught the lone second half touchdown from Jordan Martinez.

Defensive leaders: Isaiah Paul and Dashaun Tolefree lead the team with 8 tackles. Paul had 3 tackles for loss. Brodrick Bates, Kyle Hamby, and Samuel Wells each had a sack. Hopkins and Williamson each had an INT.

Offensive Leaders: Jordan Martinez was 7-15 with 141 yards and a TD. Jahmyl Jeter had 14 carries for 151 yards with 4TDs. Alex Wise caught 5 passes for 131 yards and a TD.

On Special Teams Andrew Bentley was 6-6 in extra points and kicked a 26 yard field goal.

The Bears are off next week. They start district Thursday October 12th vs the Holmes Huskies. The game will be aired on the CW 35’s Thursday Night Lights. BFND!!
