Game Recap

The Bears last minute effort wasn’t enough after a rough 1st quarter. The Jaguars scored on their first 2 drives and on a punt return to build a quick lead. The Bear defense held strong keeping the game within reach. Kyle Cline Blocked one of the PATs, Joshua Cuevas and Jordan Bussey played well up front. Behind the arm of Jeremy Garcia, the offense started gaining momentum in the 2nd half. He found True Ellis and Brandon Wyatt multiple times in the 2nd half. True caught a hitch and pitched it to Rashaud Blair for the first TD late in the 3rd quarter. With 2 minutes left in the game, Brennan’d Defense stalled Johnson’s drive at the 1. The Bears then made quick work and drove 99 yards 1 minute. Jeremy hit Brandon Wyatt in stride on a post in the end zone. The onside kick was recovered by the Bears, giving Brennan one last chance. The game ended with a deep ball in the end zone that fell incomplete.

In the White game, the Bears tied 6-6. The Bears scored early, and Johnson tied it up late. Alex Elizondo ran Wedge for the score.

The Bears never gave up, and were almost able to save the game late. A good 2nd half by the Bears, who outscored Johnson 14-0, but it wasn’t enough. The Bears take on MacArthur next Thursday at Brennan. BFND!!
