Game Recap

The bears dropped their opener at Reagan 21-12. The Defense played well most of the game. The offense got of to a slow start, they moved the ball, but couldn’t finish the first half. After a great defensive stop and a bad punt, the Bears punched in a TD on Rashaud Blair’ carry. The offense had their chances, but never gave up and scored on hitch and pitch. Jeremy Garcia, threw to Roderick Walker who pitched it to Blair for the long TD run. The 2 Point attempt failed stalling any hopes of a come back. Kicker and Punter Cristobal Olvera played an outstanding game flipping the field on his punts and helping in the field position battle. There were times in the game that the Bears had no momentum, but never gave up and fought until the end. BFND!!!

The White team tied 6-6. Reagan scored first, but the Bears responded and tied the game. Alex Elizondo passed to Jon Orandey for the score. The defense, did outstanding bending but not breaking and keeping the Bears in the game. Shaquan Flagg, and Dylan Velasquez lead the defense front up keeping pressure on the QB. Despite having only 6 points, the Bears threatened often keeping the ball and using the clock.

Tough breaks, but both teams never gave up and fought until the end. The JV will face off against Judson next week at Judson next Friday. The White team will play first, followed by the black team.
